Netbook 10.2 – How to Take Care Of Your Netbook

There are a lot of articles on how to buy a netbook, choose a netbook, etc. but nothing on how to take care of one once it is in your
possession. Netbooks are not extraordinarily special when it comes to maintenance, but a few things should be done periodically to take care
of it.

Instructions
  1. The first thing I suggest is to regularly dust off your device and
wipe it down with a paper towel and water. Just make sure to be careful around the keys.
  2. Next, I’d buy a enclosure for your netbook if you do a lot of
travelling. It will keep it protected from damage. Netbooks come in a
few sizes so make sure your enclosure will work prior to buying it.
  3. On the inside, make sure to keep your operatin system in prime shape.
If you have Windows, make sure to run disk checks and defrags
    periodically.
  4. Also, make sure your hard drive does not reach its maximum. Netbooks
have smaller hard drives so be aware of this.
  5. Make sure to test all of its USB drives, the VGA/HDMI port, the network cable port (NIC card), wifi, webcam, and another other auxiliary component. You never know when you might have to use one of these.

Tips & Warnings

  • This advice applies to regular laptops as well. However, netbooks have extra needs.
